Over the course of two and a half years, Smart City Networks in conjunction with Hotwire Communications will upgrade the existing network technology at the Miami Beach Convention Center to provide a fully redundant, fiber-optic system capable of speeds up to 10 gigabits. The agreement, effective June 1, 2018, is on a fast track for completion in September of 2019 and will bring with it all the benefits and advantages of a high capacity bandwidth network.
The 10-gigabit fully-redundant Internet connection will allow guests and exhibitors of the Miami Beach Convention Center to thoroughly enjoy the benefits of Wi-Fi service without being inhibited by the high volume of users during major events or conferences. And with a self-healing fiber ring, the likelihood of a service outage decreases drastically letting visitors browse confidently and giving exhibitors limitless possibilities to present their products or ideas.
