Fort Lauderdale, Florida, June 23, 2020, South Florida-based telecommunications company Hotwire Communications has been independently recognized by PCMag as the Fastest Business ISP of 2020 and the Fastest ISP in the Southeast United States overall.

The publication uses data taken from the PCMag Speed Test in order to evaluate and rank numerous ISPs (Internet Service Providers) based on factors such as upload and download speed, which are then weighted and added together into a single index score called the PCMag Speed Index (PSI). The 2020 results are derived from the results of over 358,000 tests taken within the United States between June 1, 2019 to June 2, 2020.

Hotwire Communications’ score in the “Southeast United States” category saw a significant increase from last year, rising from 196.6 to 473.8. In the category of “Fastest Business ISP,” Hotwire Communications scored a remarkable 783.3, which PCMag remarks in their article is “the highest we’ve ever seen for any business-oriented ISP” and was several hundred points higher than the next ranking competitor.

“Being ranked at the top of the industry in these two categories is a monumental achievement,” said Hotwire Communications President and Co-Founder Kristin Karp. “This would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our extraordinary engineering led by Emanuele Jones, and our network operations teams led by Qais Hassanzada, and I want to recognize them for making this possible.”

“We’re constantly innovating our systems. Looking for small ways we can improve efficiencies while maintaining the health and security of our network,” said Emanuele Jones, Hotwire Communications’ SVP of Engineering. “Over time, these small improvements can lead to sizeable industry recognitions and for that, I couldn’t be prouder of our engineering teams. Fiber is the strongest network connection available today, and these numbers reported by PCMag are all the more proof of that.”
