FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Hotwire Communications has been selected as the telecommunications provider for the apartment complex, park, restaurant and performing arts center “Spoke,” being built by private developer Columbia Ventures LLC. As part of a unique private/public partnership, this $40 million project will be built at the Edgewood-Candler Park transit station in partnership with the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.
Hotwire will provide the 224 apartments with Fision Home service, a 100% fiber-based system that includes 1GB internet, and its best of breed IPTV. Fision Home is fully HD capable and includes Hotwires replay TV service and full video on demand capability. This will insure that the new complex, tied to Hotwire’s proprietary internet backbone, will join a host of other Hotwire ultra -connected communities in the Atlanta area.
The multifamily phase of this transit-oriented development project is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2018. A second phase, to begin in 2017, includes a public greenspace, a restaurant, and a teaching and performing arts center.
